Method

From curiosity to college, in 16 guided phases.

Each phase has a single goal, an honest exit criterion, and a real artifact the student walks away with. We don't advance until you do.

Try it now

Paste a hypothesis. Watch the mentor tear it apart.

Not vague encouragement. Finalia interrogates your draft until it meets the standard an ISEF judge would apply — falsifiability, measurable variables, controls. No account needed to try.

Questions

What students ask.

How is this different from just using ChatGPT?+

ChatGPT brainstorms in any direction you take it. Finalia runs a structured 16-phase pipeline with phase-specific system prompts encoding ISEF judging rubrics, IMRaD paper structure, and college-admissions counselor heuristics. It refuses to advance from one phase to the next until your artifact meets criteria a judge would apply. The difference is process discipline — not raw model capability.

Does Finalia write the paper for me?+

No. Finalia is a mentor, not a ghostwriter. It produces structure, critiques, falsifiability checks, and revision suggestions — you write the actual paper. Academic integrity is built into the system prompts; the AI declines to draft submission-ready text on your behalf.

What if I have no idea what to research?+

That's exactly Phase 1. Through guided conversation, Finalia surfaces a candidate research direction from your raw curiosity — no baseline expertise required. You typically walk away from Phase 1 with two or three viable research questions to choose from.

What grade level is Finalia designed for?+

High school students in grades 9–12 who want to compete in science research or strengthen their college applications with a research portfolio. The pipeline scales with you — a Grade 9 starting from scratch and a Grade 11 with prior lab experience both work through the same 16 phases, with the mentor adjusting depth and pace.

Is my data safe? Will it be used to train AI?+

No. Finalia uses Anthropic's Claude API under no-training contract terms — your research conversations are never used to train models. All data is stored in your private account on Supabase (US-hosted, row-level-security isolated per student). No data sharing with third parties.

What competitions does Finalia prepare you for?+

ISEF (International Science and Engineering Fair) is the primary target. The pipeline also supports Regeneron STS, JSHS, and regional/state science fairs. The underlying artifact — a paper with original data and a falsifiable hypothesis — is also what competitive college admissions offices evaluate, so the work compounds across your applications.

What if it doesn't work for me?+

Cancel anytime, no contracts. Month-to-month at the founding rate of $99/mo USD — and if you subscribe by August 31, 2026, that rate is locked for as long as you stay (it rises to $199/mo for new members after). End the subscription from your dashboard whenever you want — your projects and artifacts remain exportable for 30 days after cancellation.
